A regular meal and snack schedule — e.g., three meals plus two snacks a day — reassures your mind and body, which makes overeating and binge eating less likely. In comparison to those with structured mealtimes, people who eat at all times of the day consume an average of 80 additional calories per day, she adds. That may not sound like a lot, but as you know, it all adds up. Why give in to inevitable weight gain over the holiday season when you can take control with a little extra planning!
